Creating opportunities to come together
The Hub is such a great resource for so many projects and activities. We thought it would be a good idea to take advantage of some the time it's not being used to create more opportunities for our community to come together. We've been running a weekly crafting session on a Wednesday, since early 2023 (see details at the bottom of this page) and we'll continue to look for funding to support more group like this.
Recently we successfully won a grant application from National Grid Community Matters Fund which has enabled us to a new project starting in February - Cosy Crafts (see below)

Join Christine for two hours of creative arty activities on Tuesday mornings in the warmth of The Hub café over a cuppa and a biscuit or two? Surprise yourself by having a go at … pencil drawing & watercolour painting … paper cutting & collaging … knitting … patchwork & embroidery …even make a little sculpture or beads using air drying clay…and more.

Each Wednesday our resident Chief Crafter, Carolyn Fielding leads this comfortable and welcoming group, bringing with her a new technique or project to try. Carolyn has given most crafts a go and is a great teacher.
