A space for the community

The Hub

Set in the heart of Lyme Regis Town, The Hub was originally built in the 1920s as a church hall. In 2010 the building was bought by us, the Lyme Regis Development Trust and with the help of grants from Dorset County Council and Lyme Regis Town Council, we repaired the roof and began to make the building available for multiuse hire.

 

We have two main areas for hire.

If you are looking to start a new regular group*, we can offer the first two sessions completely free to help your class/lessons/activity off the ground.

*This applies to new groups only, does not apply to an existing group moving premises from another local venue.

* Initiatives led and organised by young people are subject the building being open and staffed (ie. school holidays/inset days. Not weekends)

The Main Hall

The main hall is amazingly versatile and we have a wide range of equipment to support your activity or event. Check out our main uses and kit for hire:

  • Basketball hoop

  • Table Tennis Table

  • Sprung floor (great for dance activities)

  • Portable stage (for In The Round set up

  • Fantastic Acoustics

  • 220 person capacity

  • Application of temporary events licence for the selling of alcohol for your event

  • Chairs and Tables available

The Café

Our café is light and bright space is very flexible and can be used to host a great range of functions. It can be used by itself or in partnership with the kitchen if needed for food preparation or refreshments for your event.

  • Parties/Social Events

  • Sit down meals

  • Training sessions

  • Meetings

  • Children's parties

  • Workshops

  • Smaller yoga or similar classes

The space can be arranged to suit your needs with or without our chairs, tables and sofas. We also have a large television and projector/screen available.
